I am a mom to 4 children, Town of Newburgh, NY resident,  Doula & Registered Nurse with more than 14 years of experience in hospital and home birth settings throughout the Hudson Valley.  My experience as a nurse, combined with being a childbirth educator, and doula, gives me unique insight into what expecting parents in Orange, Ulster, and Dutchess Counties are looking for in their birth experiences.  I assist local Hudson Valley families to work towards their vision as they navigate their pregnancy and birth. My philosophy is one of "east meets west." Couples can cherry-pick both holistic and medical modalities to have the best experience in a variety of birth settings - whether they choose a natural unmedicated birth, or have plans for medical pain relief methods like an epidural. ​​I have special skills in helping parents navigate the medical system holistically.  As a Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor, I provide expecting couples special training to create a more calm, comfortable pregnancy and birth.  Parents can focus on being in the moment for their pregnancy and birth with assistance in making decisions, forming connections, and planning for baby arrival and beyond. When I work with my clients, they understand how to work together as a team, be proactive, and enhance their pregnancy and birth.  I believe that birth can be joyous, empowering, and positively transformative. With my assistance, birth partners feel more capable of being part of the birth in ways they never imagined and feel bolstered as they see their baby born.  Couples have a stronger bond after working together bringing their baby earth side. I have office space in Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Pine Bush, NY and can be available for office visits by appointment.  ​
